About Me
I’ve always used painting as a way to connect with the world around me. For many years, I focused on landscapes—drawn to quiet spaces, changing light, and the sense of peace nature can hold.
For a long time, that was where I felt most at home in my work
After being diagnosed with large B-cell non-Hodgkins lymphoma, everything shifted. My focus moved from places to living beings. I found myself drawn to wildlife—the strength of a big cat, the fragility of an insect, the freedom of birds, and the life within water.
My focus began to move away from places and toward living beings. I became drawn to wildlife—the presence of animals, their quiet strength, their vulnerability, and their resilience.
Now, my work centers on big cats, mammals, birds, insects, and aquatic life. I’m especially drawn to the small details—the intensity in an animal’s eyes, the delicacy of movement, the stillness that can hold so much emotion. These moments feel honest to me. They reflect both the fragility and strength that exist in all living things.
Painting these subjects became something deeper than art. It became a way to process, to heal, and to reconnect with life in a more immediate and meaningful way. I started to notice details I might have overlooked before—the intensity in an animal’s eyes, the movement, the presence, and the quiet resilience in every living thing.
Each piece I create is personal. My work is rooted in that experience—reflecting both the challenges I’ve faced and the beauty I continue to find in the world.
When someone brings one of my painted images into their space, I hope it offers more than just something to look at. I hope it brings a sense of calm, connection, and quiet strength—something that can be felt every time it’s seen.
If my work speaks to you, I hope it brings a sense of connection, strength, or calm into your space—just as creating it has done for me.
Thank you for being here and for supporting my work.
